- 500 g Magerquark
- 3 Eggs
- 2 TL Baking powder
- 90 g Flour
- 1 TL Vanilla extract
- 1 EL Oil
- Sweetener of choice (e.g., maple syrup, sweetener, honey)
- Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)
- Fresh berries (e.g., raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, optional)
- In a large bowl, mix the Magerquark, eggs, baking powder, flour, vanilla extract, and desired sweetener. Stir well until a homogeneous batter forms, which should take about 5 minutes and be lump-free.
- Heat 1 EL of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Ensure the oil is well distributed to prevent sticking. You can test if the oil is hot enough by adding a small spoonful of batter; it should sizzle immediately.
- Use an ice cream scoop or a tablespoon to drop small portions of the batter into the pan. The portions should be about 5 cm in diameter. Fry the Taler for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and small bubbles appear on the surface.
- Carefully flip the Taler and fry the other side for another 3-4 minutes until it is also golden brown and cooked through. Be careful not to set the temperature too high to avoid burning.
- Once the Taler are done, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more oil if necessary. Let the Taler cool slightly and serve with powdered sugar and fresh berries as desired.

Keywords: Avoid frying the Taler too long, as they can become dry. Use a non-stick pan for even browning and easy cleanup. You can experiment with ingredient ratios to lower carbohydrate intake by reducing flour and adding more Magerquark.
