Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Mozzarella Wraps

These Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Mozzarella Wraps are a delightful combination of tender chicken, melted mozzarella, and fresh spinach, all wrapped in a crispy tortilla. Perfect for a quick family meal, they are both delicious and healthier thanks to the air frying method.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breast fillets (about 450 g total)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 whole grain tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips, ensuring they are no thicker than 1 cm for even cooking.
  2. In a bowl, mix the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken strips and coat them well with the spices.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 190°C for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with some cooking spray. Place the seasoned chicken strips in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Once the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 75°C), remove it from the air fryer and let it cool slightly.
  6. On each tortilla, layer fresh spinach, followed by a generous amount of shredded mozzarella and the chicken strips, distributing the ingredients evenly.
  7. Roll the tortillas tightly to enclose the filling. Lightly spray the outside of each wrap with olive oil spray for browning.
  8. Place the wraps seam-side down in the air fryer basket and fry at 190°C for an additional 2-3 minutes until the tortillas are crispy and golden brown.
  9. Remove the wraps from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Cut each wrap in half and serve with ranch dressing if desired.

Keywords: For extra crispiness, ensure the air fryer is well preheated before adding the chicken, and avoid overcrowding the basket. You can also use a spray bottle for the olive oil to ensure even distribution.
